Powers-Get your fingers poised…

The 1980’s saw a number of popular advertising campaigns based on conversations and short stories, and Powers Gold Label was a strong contributor to this nugget of social history. The original ads from Powers were quintessentially Irish with beautiful artwork but it was the copy, written as short stories, that made the ads particularly memorable.

We have partnered with the Irish Times to develop a short stories competition. Entrants just need to write a 450 word short story on ‘Celebrating what really matters’ to be in with a chance to win €10,000!
